Remember the person.
Their personality. Their dreams. The love they gave. We let families tell us who their loved ones were, in their own words.
A documentary + community-impact series

Our purpose: To help heal America—one family, one story, and one honest conversation at a time.
Healing starts with listening
Its effects continue long after a shooting—through families, schools, neighborhoods, and generations. Unhealed America centers the families living with those effects. By making room for love, grief, truth, prevention, and solutions, the series works toward a larger purpose: helping America heal.
Their personality. Their dreams. The love they gave. We let families tell us who their loved ones were, in their own words.
There’s no one way to grieve. We listen to what families carry, what helps them keep going, and where support is still needed.
These conversations ask what families and communities need—and what we can do together to help stop gun violence.
People before headlines. Memory without spectacle. Healing that leads to action.
From a story to a shared next step
Each release can become a place for people to listen, remember, find support, and move toward meaningful action. That is how the series can live beyond the screen.
Experience a family’s story with the time, care, and humanity the headlines could not give it.
Bring the episode into a school, campus, workplace, faith community, or neighborhood screening.
Pair the screening with a facilitated conversation and trusted healing, grief, and violence-prevention resources.
Help audiences identify a practical next step—support a family, strengthen prevention, or change how institutions respond.
Meet your host
Host of Unhealed America | Father & Gun Violence Prevention Advocate
I’m Kenn Collier, and this work is personal. In 2017, my son’s mother was murdered on the morning of his 10th birthday. I watched him carry that loss as he grew up, and as his father, I did everything I could to help him heal. In January 2025, I lost him to gun violence too. He was just 17.
I know what violence can take from a family—and how that pain continues long after the headlines fade.
As the host of Unhealed America, I sit down with families to remember the people they love and talk honestly about life after loss. We make room for the grief, but also the love, the memories, and the moments that help us keep going.
I’ve spent years working with young people and families in my community. Through this series, I want people to feel less alone and bring us together around healing and solutions that can prevent another family from living through this pain.
